Description

The International Student & Scholar Services (ISSS) unit within the Office of International Affairs (OIA) offers several Work Clinics each semester for students who are in F-1 visa classification and are interested in off-campus work authorization. Each Work Clinic starts with a focus on Curricular Practical Training (CPT). CPT is work authorization for F-1 students who have not yet completed their degree requirements and are interested in participating in an internship in their field of study. Following the CPT portion of the Work Clinic, the remainder of the time is spent focusing on Optional Practical Training (OPT). OPT is work authorization for F-1 students who have completed all of their degree requirements; however, it can also be used prior to completion.

Please register in advance for each Work Clinic. After registering, you will receive an email with a ticket for this event in PDF. We ask that you print this ticket and bring it with you at the time of the Work Clinic. We also ask that you please arrive on time for the Work Clinic. A late arrival could result in a student having to register for another Work Clinic at a later date.
